POTWINE - In Shullsburg, Wis., March 17, of pneumonia, Clarissa Trunbull, wife of the late Caleb Potwine, and formerly of East Eindsor, Conn.

Died- At the residence of J.R. Amidon, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Tuesday, March 17, 1885, Mrs. Clara Potwin, of Shullsburg, Wis. in the 77th, year of her age. The deceased was a native of Connecticut and came to the West at an early day; she having been a resident of this county for more than forty years. She had been visiting friends in Chicago during the winter, and a couple of weeks before her death, she went to Cedar Rapids to visit her daughter Mrs. Amidon, and taking cold on her journey she was attacked with pneumonia from which she died.
Her remains were brought here for interment, and the funeral took place last Saturday afternoon from the family residence, her remains being followed to their last resting place in Evergreen cemetery by a large number of sympathizing friends and neighbors.
She leaves two daughters and two granddaughters besides several brothers and sisters. She was an indulgent parents, a sincere friend, a kind neighbor and in all respects a noble woman whose death is sincerely mourned by her many friends.
