Myrtle Ferril 86, of Shamrocki, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2003. Services were held Saturday, April 26, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Shamrock, with Rev. Z.A. Myers, pastor, officiating. Bural was in the Shamrock cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Ferril was born December 28, 1916 in Avoca,Texas to Henry and Mattie Oma Coe.
She married Bill Ferril, November 7, 1931, in Sudan, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death August 6, 1981. Mrs Ferril had lived in Shamrock for 47 years and had worked as a cook in several restaurants in Shamrock.
Survivors include one daughter, and son-in-law Gennell York Richardson and Bill of Shamrock; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Marvin and Geraldine Ferril of Shamrock and Lonnie and Joyce Ferril of Amarillo; one brother Duwayne Coe of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Charlene Guadagnolo of Arlington, Texas; and Juanita Dyess of Andalusia, Alabama; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren.
