JIM MEADOWS TAKEN IN DEATH

Obituary for James Meadows:

James Henry Meadows, 67, passed away October 2 (1967) in Tehachapi Hospital (in Tehachapi, Kern County, California).

A cook for 11 years at White's Cafe in Mojave (Kern County, California), he was born in April (23) of 1900 at Yuma, Arizona. He was a veteran of World War I, and he resided at 2133 Shasta Street (in Mojave).

Survivors included one son, James H. (Meadows) Oxnard, California, three step-children, and a sister, Bell Bartley of New Jersey.

Masonic graveside services were held Thursday, October 5 (1967) at 2:00 p.m., with Mohave Lodge No. 783 officiating.

Internment was in Mohave Cemetery with Stickel Mortuary handling arrangements.
