Services For Grace I. Frahm
Graveside services for a former long-time Mojave resident, Mrs. Grace 1. Frahm, will be held at the Mojave Cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 18.
Mrs. Frahm was born in Scranton, Pa. on Oct. 8, 1886, and passed away in the Palmdale Hospital on Dec. 15. She had been making her home with a daughter in Rosamond.
Mrs. Frahm came to California in 1928, and moved to Mojave in 1929. She and her family lived in a house on K St. where the old post office building now is. She may be remembered by many as the first person to have a milk route in Mojave.
Mrs. Frahm moved in 1943, but had returned to Mojave for brief periods in ensuing years.
She is. survived by a sister, Ruth Payne, Escondido; seven daughters, Hazel I Stemwedel, with whom she lived; Ruth Pengilley, also Rosamond; Helen Crawshaw, Gettysburg, Pa., Ruby Elsey, Lompoc; Margie Foutz, Santa Fe, N.M.; Evelyn Powers, Santa Barbara and Edna Holgrafer, Williams, Iowa; also numerous grandchildren, great and great great grand-children.
The Rev. Olin G. Collier, First Baptist Church, Mojave, will officiate at the 11.30 a.m. service. Stickel Mortuaries are in charge of arrangements.
