Services For George Elledge
George H. Elledge, age 72, master barber and long-time Mojave resident passed away in a Lancaster hospital on March 7th.
Born March 4, 1898 in Grants, New Mexico he had been in California 50 years and came to Mojave in 1942. He operated his own barber shop for 26 years.
He was an ardent worker for the L.D.S. Church and an enthusiastic member of Mojave Elks Lodge No. 2059.
Survivors are: wife Irene, 2119 Panamint St., Mojave; daughter Joan Flynn, Palm Springs; son George H. Jr. of South America; step daughters Pat McDonald, Lompoc and Vickie Savage of Morgan, Utah; step son Larry McDermott, Garden Grove; brothers Ralph, Charles and Fred of Arizona.
Services were held Tuesday, March 10th in the L.D.S. Church with Victor L. Smyth, branch president, officiating. Prayer was by Gordon Bunn; speakers were Ardel Talbot and Shelton Harper.
Interment was in Mojave Cemetery with arrangements by Stickel Mortuary.
