Graveside services were held at the Mojave Cemetery at 3 p.m. on June 20 for Walter Newling, 68, of No. Edwards.
Mr. Newling was born Nov. 22, 1904 in Liverpool, and and passed away June 19 in a Ridgecrest hospital. He was an elevator operator for 30 years in New York City, and had moved to Kern County about a year ago after retirement. His wife, Helen, died in Sept., 1972.
He is survived by a son, Walter, a daughter Carolyn Semoza, and five grandchildren all of North Edwards.
The services were conducted by Father Bernardino Selvyns, St. Joseph's Catholic Church Boron. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
