Services For Laura Davis

Funeral services for Laura D. "Nina" Davis, a 23-year resident of Mojave, were held on Nov. 5, at the Stickel Mortuary Chapel.
Mrs. Davis was born April 2, 1904, in Virginia and passed away in a Bakersfield Hospital on Nov. 1. She had lived in California since 1924.
Mrs. Davis was an Army Nurse during the Second World War, and was a survivor of the Bataan death march. Of the 14 nurses on the march, only four of them survived.
She is survived by her husband, Otha at the home, 15534 K Street.
The Rev. Henry A. Fowler, Assembly of God Church, officiated at the 10 a.m. services. Private interment was at the[ Mojave Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Curtis Tomlin, George Downey, John Sells, Les Booth, Wes Lemons, Wayne Lemons, Luther Cole and Nick Thurman.
Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
