Hold Memorial Services For Mearl Craig
The many friends of Mearl H. Craig were saddened by his sudden passing Sunday, October 21st.
Mearl, a long time resident of Mojave was born August 30, 1896 in Minot, North Dakota. Since his coming to Mojave, he has been active in civic and church activities. A member of the Mojave Lions Club, he was recently installed to serve as 2nd vice-president. Mead also served as trustee on the Mojave Unified School District Board for two years.
A member of the Com. Cong. Church where he also served as Moderator, his interests also included the Educational Building now under construction. Mead devoted much time and effort in the building and planning of this Sunday School unit, truly a memorial to him.
Other associations include his membership in the Masonic Lodge, North Dakota.
Funeral services were held in the Com. Cong. Church Wednesday with Dr. Torrance Phelps officiating. Interment followed in the Mojave Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of O'Donnell's Funeral Home, Mojave.
Survivors include widow, Myra Craig of Mojave, a son, Kenneth Craig of New Jersey and two sisters, Mrs. Esther Shelton of Fullerton, California and Mrs. Ruth McMiniment of Lakewood, Calif.
