Services Held For Jewell M. Cook
Funeral services for Jewell M. Cook were held last Saturday, Jan. 13 in the Stickel Mortuary Chapel.
Mrs. Cook, 52, was born in Ranger, Texas, on April 5, 1919. She had lived in California since 1928, and had been a resident of Mojave for 17 years. She passed a way in a Lancaster hospital on January 10. She had been a research engineer at Edwards Air Force Base until her retirement last July.
She is survived by her husband, Herb, at the home in Mojave; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Adams, Mojave; Mrs. Barbara Wilson, Rohnert Park, Calif.; and Mrs. Patricia Gressen, Martinez, Calif.; three brothers, Richard Orton, Fillmore, Calif.; Otto and Ernest Stickels, both of Ft. Worth, Texas, and 10 grandchildren.
The 11:00 services were conducted by the Rev. James W. Chitty, Mojave Community Church. Interment was in the Mojave Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Richard Ledwidge, Judge Bert Satterfield, Jr., Larry Cleveland, Bill Smith, Ed Culpepper and Gene Nichols. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
