Services For Harold Comer
Funeral services for Harold E. Comer were held in the Stickel Mortuaries Chapel on Monday, November 27, 1972.
Born in Indiana on Jan. 1, 1915, Mr. Comer passed away on November 22, 1972 after an illness of several months duration. He had lived in Florida for several years before moving to Mojave in 1961. He was manager of the Mojave Club until his retirement about a year ago.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary, at the home, 15945 Rexroth Drive in Mojave, a step-daughter, Sharon Embree, and a step-son Danny Mowry, both of Yuba City. There is also a daughter in Alaska, and a son who lives in Indiana; and also two sisters and seven grandchildren.
Officers of the Mojave Elks Lodge, B.P.O.E. No. 2059 conducted the funeral and graveside services. Pat Postle officiated as Exalted Ruler, with Mel Miller, Chaplain, Charlie Spicer, Secretary, Bob Stevens, Esquire, and Tommy Fields, Leading Knight.
Pallbearers were Charlie Murphy, Nick Thurman, George Downey, Jim Munschy, Bill Coffee and Gary Embree.
Interment was in the Mojave Cemetery. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of the arrangements.
