Opal Boyer Cox was born on her father's farm in the southeast corner of Sugar Creek Township, Clinton County, Indiana. She attended school in Pickard. Opal married Roy Cox on March 2, 1912 in Frankfort, Clinton County, Indiana. They lived all of their lived on that farm in Sugar Creek Township. She was a spiritual person & always talked about her mother, Judith Anna Boyer, who died when she was 10. Opal was one of the most loving & caring persons around, always willing to help family or friends.
