Services held for Accident victim Steve Deuschle

Memorial services were held for Steven Kim Deuschle at the Community Congregational Church, Mojave, on Tuesday, Sept. 5th at 10:301 a.m. The 21-year-old resident was laid to rest in the local cemetery.
Steven was killed in an automobile accident Thursday, Aug. 31st on the Tehachapi-Willow Springs Road, south, of its intersection with Oak Creek Road. He is survived by his parents and a sister.
CHP Officers said the sports car driven by Lloyd Leroy Dyke, Star Route, Mojave was going south when it failed to round a moderate curve.
Path of the car was traced by officers as through 85 feet of dirt shoulder, airborne for 45 feet, tearing up brush on landing for another 30 feet. It then apparently glided through the air for another 10 feet before hitting the edge of a wash and dropping 25 feet to the bottom. Both boys were ejected.
A passing truck driver noticed the wreck at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning and notified authorities.
Leroy Dyke was seriously injured and was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital by Morris Ambulance.
