Dr. Surber's mother died very suddenly at her home in east Perry, on Wednesday February 7th. She was feeling apparently as well as usual when the Dr. started up town. In less than an hour they sent for him saying his mother was dying. He hastened home but found her too far gone to take medicine. She was nearly ninety years of age. She was buried Friday afternoon.
