They emmigrated to Clay Co., ca. 1871 from Cherokee Co., NC. after he killed his son-in-law for wife beating. His name is Marcus L. Morrow and his wife was Harriett. Their 2 sons, John L. and Calvin and one daughter Sophronia all went. Only Marcus's 2 daughters from a previous marriage stayed behind as they had married in NC.
