And then later arrived in Jackson co., Indiana in 1822 with his wife Rachel Burdon and the following children: William, John, Melinda, Malida, [Malita]. Jane and Daniel. [there may have been a dau. named, Rhoda A. {Ansiline?]. A search of the 1850 & 1860 census of Vernon Twp. Jackson co., Indiana (east side of the county) revealed a} William & Elizabeth (Bedel) McDonald, b. Aug. 29, 1807, in Kentucky and her in Indiana, 1808. This must be Malita's older brother; he is 14 years older.
The head of this aforementioned family, ie-Alexander McDonald may also have been known as "William Alexander" McDonald.
