FRANCIS BLANCHE (MAHAR) BANJAY
Francis, known as Blanche, or Mrs Banjay to her students, was the daughter of Anna "Annie" (Peterson) and James Mahar. She was the wife of Laurence Irwin Banjay; son of Jeanie A (Prell) and John Banjay. They were united in marriage on 9 Mar 1918 in Davenport, Iowa in a quiet ceremony.

Blanche Banjay was born on August 10, 1892 and died on May 01, 1976 at the age of 83. She lived in New Boston, Illinois in Mercer County, where she was a public school teacher for many years and loved by many.

MRS. BLANCH BANJAY
New Boston- Services for Mrs. Blanche Banjay, 83, New Boston, will be Monday at the New Boston Methodist Church. Burial will be in the New Boston Cemetery. Visitation is after 4pm today at the Olin Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to any New Boston Church.

Mrs. Banjay died Friday at Americana Nursing Home, Galesburg.

Blanche Mahar was born in Williamsfield. She married Lawrence Banjay in 1918 in Davenport. He died in 1958. She was a retired teacher, a member of the Retired Teachers Association and a charter member of the Wimdausis Club, New Boston.

Survivors include a Brother Harold Mahar, Williamsfield and nieces and nephews.
