Franklin D.R. Cooper, 72, of Gurdon, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday January 9, 2013 in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
Franklin was born August 29, 1940 in Copeland Ridge, Arkansas to Samuel and Alice Karr Cooper. He was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church.
Mr. Cooper is preceded in death by his wife Vida Cooper; one son Chris Cooper; two brothers William Cooper and Richard Cooper and one sister Mary Carter.
He is survived by one daughter, Gayla Isom and her husband Robbie of Walker, LA; a brother Albert Cooper and wife Liz of Gurdon, AR; eight sisters, Sarah Sims of Manchester, LA; Pearl Sims of Arkadelphia, AR; Ann Sims of Texarkana, AR; Martha Cooper of Prescott, AR; Opal Reeves of Rogers, AR; Molly Howell of Arkadelphia, AR; Minnie Howell of Gurdon, AR; Rosa Myers and husband Charlie of Forrest City, AR; one daughter- in-law Becky Cooper of Hugo, OK; three grandchildren Kellie Cooper-Turner and husband Nate of Ada, OK; Mya Cooper of Hugo, OK; and Shawon Isom of Walker, LA.
Visitation will be Friday January 11, 2013 form 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon Chapel
Service will be Saturday January 12, 2013 at 1:00p.m. at Beech Street Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Cox Officiating.
Interment will follow in South Fork Cemetery
