Macon Beddingfield

The funeral for Macon Beddingfield, 76, of Athens, will be 11 a.m. today at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Don Osborne and Rodney Britton officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery.
Mr. Beddingfield died Tuesday, May 1, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 2, 1925, in Lincoln County, Tenn. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a disabled U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired employee of Redstone Arsenal and a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Greenhaw Beddingfield; seven sons, Dwight Beddingfield, Steve Beddingfield, Mark Beddingfield, Rusty Beddingfield and John Beddingfield, all of Athens, Stanley Beddingfield, Montgomery, and Chris Beddingfield, Elkmont; one daughter, Susan Turner, Lexington; three brothers, Glen Beddingfield and Rowe Sherriell Beddingfield, both of Athens, and Carlos Beddingfield, Kelso, Tenn.; seven sisters, Martha Ellen Floyd, Chattanooga, Tenn., Mary Dell Goode and Elaine McNatt, both of Huntsville, Bobbie Baugher, Athens, Peggy Holder, Fayetteville, Tenn., Ophelia Berryhill, Taft, Tenn., and Barbara White, Pulaski, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
