Lucille "Ethel" Cherry
Ethel Cherry, a resident of Kern County for 31 years passed away Sept. 20, 1999 in Lancaster. Cherry was born in Oklahoma on July 30, 1934 and worked as a mail contractor for 25 years.
Cherry was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Cherry, and her son, Billy Cathey. She was survived by her daughter, Shirley A. Sullivan and grandson, Robert L. Sullivan of Mojave; daughter and son-in-law, Gladys and Ricardo Carreno, two granddaughters, Christina and Deanna Carreno, of Lancaster; mother, Eva Belle Hitt, brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Nancy Hitt, of Oklahoma; and step-son, Dennis Cherry.
Pastor David Caprai conducted graveside services at the East Kern Cemetery in Mojave Sept. 23, 1999.
