Halliday) – New Castle Weekly Herald, New Castle, PA, Wed., 24 Sep. 1902, 1:2 – Mrs. Mary Price, one of the oldest and most respected residents of New Bedford, is dead at 83 years of age. Her death occurred at Dixmont, where she was taken about two weeks ago because of a mental breakdown accompanying the advancing physical feebleness incident to her years. Relatives were notified of her death by telegram on Friday morning.
Mrs. Price had been a widow for some years. She leaves five children, who are: James S. Price of Cleveland, John Price of Youngstown, Mrs. Eva Porter of West Middlesex, Mrs. James McNabb of New Castle, and Frank F. Price of New Bedford.
The departed lady had been nearly all of her life, a member of the Presbyterian Church of New Bedford. She was an earnest Christian lady, greatly beloved in the community. The sad condition, which preceded her death, was a source of great grief to her family and friends. Undertaker J. H. Duff left Friday for Dixmont to take charge of the remains. "Note – Mrs. Mary D. (Anderson) Price died September 19, 1902. She was the wife of Stinson Price and is buried in Hopewell Cemetery in New Bedford, PA."
