Mrs. Dorothy Alexander, 68, of 1406 Summer, died at 12:01 a.m. Saturday in a Houston hospital. Survivors: Five sons, Sam, Rocco, Johnny, Nick and Lee Alexander; two daughters, Mrs. G. T. Mazzola and Mrs. Josephine Gambini. Services at 9 a.m. Monday at Earthman Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St Joseph's Church, with Rev. J. P. Sullivan officiating. Burial: Hollywood Cemetery. Earthman Funerals.

Her daughter, Josephine Alexander, was born 19 Dec 1905 in Gibellina, Trapani, Sicily, according to her naturalization record. She married John Gus Gambini on 23 Nov 1927 in Houston, and they were the parents of John Pete Gambini. They were divorced before 1940. Josephine later changed back to her maiden name as shown in her death record and obituary.
