Bruce Meredith Robertson, 50, of Norcross, GA and formerly of Columbia, died Thursday, January 3, 2013. Born May 14, 1962 in Greensboro, NC, he was the son of Austin F. Robertson, Jr. and Betty Jo Meredith Privette. Mr. Robertson served in the US Air Force during the first Gulf War and was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Norcross.

Survivors include his father, The Rev. Austin (Mary) Robertson of Columbia; his mother, Betty (Lincoln) Privette of Darlington; sisters, Beth (William) Jacobs of Darlington and Margot (Jon) Healey of South Pasadena, CA; nieces, Sarah Crawford and Callie Simmons; nephews, John Simmons, Ian Healey and Seth Healy; his lifelong best friends, Alvin and Mary Palmer.

A graveside service for Mr. Robertson will be held at 1 o'clock, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, with The Rev. Roy Butler officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 until 12 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
