Mrs. Waesche.
Died at Mechanicstown, on Sunday morning last, after a protracted illness, Mrs. Catherine Waesche, widow of George Henry Waesche, in the eightieth year of her age. The deceased was born in Wakeoeld Valley, Carroll (then Frederick county; she was the daughter of George Cassell and, save one, last of a family of eleven children. In 1828 she married George Henry Waesche, who died forty-two years ago on the Isthmus of Panama, leaving a widow with eight children, all of whom, save one - the eldest - are yet living . Mrs. Waesche had been for sixty-four years a member of the Methodist Episcopal church; she was a sincere christian, charitable in her views and giving, she led a quiet, undemonstrative home life, living and caring for her children during the many years of her widowhood. The funeral took place on Tuesday at the Methodist Episcopal church, her pastor, Rev. J. F. F. Gray, officiating, assisted by Rev. G. A. Whitmore, of the Reformed church, and Rev. J. H. Barb, of the Lutheran church. Interment: was made in the Hill cemetery.
