Mrs. Esther M. (Taughinbaugh) Garber, 84, formerly of New Oxford, died at the Brethren Home, Cross Keys, Thursday morning.
Born in Adams County, she was daughter of the late William D. and Rose A. (Raffensberger) Taughinbaugh. Her husband Roy C. Garber, died in 1971.
Mrs. Garber was a member of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, New Chester; the Lutheran Church Women; and the Ladies Aide Society.
Surviving are a son and a daughter: Clyde O. Garber and Mrs. Warren Berkheimer, both of New Oxford; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother George M. Taughinbaugh of New Oxford.
Funeral services held with the Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford, with the Rev. Kenneth James, officiating. Interment will be in The Pines Cemetery, near New Chester.
