The funeral was held December 29, the services were conducted by the Rev. T.H. Dahl. The sermon was delivered partly in the Norwegian and partly in the English languages, and was very solemn and impressive. The deceased had been sick since May 2d, 1879, having suffered severely. He died in the faith of Christ, and his last hours were resigned and peaceful. The relatives of the deceased wish to express their heartfelt thanks to friends and neighbors for their constant and kind services during Eric's protracted and painful illness. KNUDT MIKKELSEN.
