Charles R. WiIlson Taken in death
Charles Russie Willson died at Sawtelle Veterans Hospital December 12th.
Born in Arkansas March 21, 1898, he had lived in the state for 50 years and in Kern Caunlty for 35 years. The past two years he had been working as maintenance man for the Edwards School District.
Services were held in the Stickel Mortuary Chapel at 11 a.m. Dec. 15th and interment was in the Mojave Cemetery.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Mary Julia Carlson of Lancaster; one brother, Lewis J. Willson of Fresno; and a sister-in-taw, Mrs. La Nada Willson of Mojave. He resided in Mojave quite a few years. at one time operating the Mojave Taxi Service, but has been gone since the late fifties. He was a past commander of the Mojave V.F.W. Post and also commander of WWI Barracks at Littlerock.
