Funeral services for Frederick L. Wolfe, 81, were held at the Stickel Mortuaries Chapel in Mojave on November 11.
Mr Wolfe was born May 9, 1896 in Scottdale, Penn., and passed away November 3 in a Lancaster hospital. He was a veteran of WW I, serving in the Army.
He first came to Mojave in 1919, and for 48 years was an engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad on the Mojave to Lone Pine run. He retired in 1964, and had made his home in Lancaster the past eight years. He is survived by four sons, Edmund, Rosemead; Fred, Jr., Westchester; James (Randy)Lancaster, and David, EI Paso, Tex.; three daughters, Muriel Gendron, Corona del Mar; Carolyn Bishop, Corydon, Iowa, and Jeannine Heatherington, Virginia, Minn.; one brother George, Aiken, S.C.; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The 11 a.m. services were conducted by Bishop Gordon Bunn, assisted by Cleon Williams, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment was in the East Kern Cemetery, Mojave. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
