Funeral services for Raymond G. Woodall, 53, were held in the Stickels Mortuaries Chapel in Mojave on July 31.
Mr. Woodall was born in Cameron, Oklahoma on Dec. 24, 1919, and passed away in a San Bernardino hospital on July 27. He had lived in California for 22 years and in Kern County for 161h years. He had been a foreman at the U. S. Borax plant in Boron and made his home at 24168 Tamarisk A venue in Desert Lake.
Mr. Woodall was a past commander of VFW 'Post #6313 in Boron. He was a charter member of the post and had been instrumental in getting it.started. He was awarded the first lifetime membership given by the post. He was currently serving as the Post Quartermaster..He was a veteran of WW II.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, at the home; one son, Charles Donald, San Jose; two daughters, Mildred Savage and Patricia Ross, both B 0 r 0 n; three brothers, Junior Henry & Thurman, both Boron; and Veston, Oklahoma; two sisters, Marie Brooks, San Diego; and Doris Philippi, Cincinnati, Ohio, and 10 grandchildren.
. The 10:00 a.m. services were conducted by the Rev. J. L. Garland, Boron Bible Church, and members of VFW Post #6313. Interment was in Mojave Cemetery with a color guard and firing squad from Ft. Mc Arthur performing the military graveside services. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of the arrangements.
