THOMAS F. YOHE DIES IN HOSPITAL

Word was flashed here on Wednesday morning of the sudden death of Thomas F Yohe, who for the last four months has been a patient in Kern General Hospital of Bakersfield.
Thomas Francis Yohe was born the son of Charles J and Katherine F. Yohe of La Junta, Colo. on September 25, 1895 and was educated in the schools of Denver, Colo., and St Louis, Mo., taking a special course in business training and practical mechanics. He enlisted in the U S Signal Corps in 1917 and became a member of the U S Air Corps through which he saw overseas duty during World War l for two years and was discharged as a sergeant in June 1919.
Making Mojave his home he was one of the active organizers of the Mojave Cemetery District and at the time of his death was a member of the Board of Trustees, also serving that body as clerk.
With Guard R Stevenson he was active in the organization of the Post No. 3711 of Mojave Veterans of Foreign Wars and was elected as Patriotic Instructor and was in charge of publicity from that time on.
Of all his activities we think he will be best remembered here for his unflagging interest in the organization of the Cemetery District and he was forever busy when not otherwise employed in fixing up the grounds. He will be buried in that most sacred spot on Saturday from St. Mary's of the Desert Church and after the Catholic ritual is completed the body will be taken in charge by the Veterans of Foreign Wars who will complete the services with their ritual and will accord him full military honors. Thus when we least expect it does something we have done for the good of mankind become a lasting monument.
His only known living relative is a sister, Mrs. Marle Thomas who resides in Bushnell, Florida.
Funeral services will commence at 2 p. m. Saturday, November 8th.
