Ethel Brown Passes away

Mrs. Ethel A. Brown passed away Saturday night, November 4, at Tehachapi Valley Hospital after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 8; at Alexander Feezell Mortuary, with interment following at Rose Hill Cemetery, Whittier. Conducting the services were the Rev. J. N. Dulaney of Bella Vista Christian Church.
Mrs. Brown, aged 66, was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, on August 3, 1895. She had been in California for 59 years and with her husband, Edmond, lived in the Antelope Valley area since 1932. The Browns had been staying with their daughter, Mrs. June E. Sandberg, in Mojave for the past three months.
Besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Brown is survived by her mother, Mrs. Dora G. Treder of Bell; four brothers, William, Adolph, Raymond, and Kenneth, all in the Los Angeles area; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Fromm, Mrs. Ruth Edmonds and Mrs. June Moore, and Mrs Annamae Robinson, all in Southern California; two grandchildren, Judy Shelton af Stockton and Ronald Duntley of Fresno; and four great grandchildren.
The Browns were active in the cattle ranching business until recently. Their property is now part of Edwards Air Force Base.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Eastern Star, L.A. Chapter.
Mrs. Brown is mourned by a great number of friends, who have characterized her as one who always thought about other people rather than herself.
