Friends mourn Loss of Delphine Bengtson, 64
M. Delphine Bengtson, 64 year-old resident Mojave resident and teacher in local school, passed away at her home, 15315 Nadene Street January 12th.
Mrs. Bengtson did not arrive at Mojave Elementary School for work Monday morning and a subsequent visit to her home disclosed her death according to Sheriffs officers.
Born April 20, 1905 in Grand Bend, Minnesota, she had resided in the county and state since 1952. A country school teacher in Minnesota, she came west and continued in this profession. She had been an active member of the Mojave Community Church for many years.
Survivors are a daughter: Mrs. Audrey Duntley of Mojave,; a sister Helen Bengtson of Audubon, Mn; two step sisters, Muriel Colan of Windsor, Mn, and Gertrude Schaeffer of Southgate; a step brother, Robert McKeegan of Minneapolis and three grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, Jan. 16th at 3:00 p.m. in the Community Church with Rev. Jeff Utter officiating.
Interment will be in Mojave Cemetery with arrangements by Stickel Mortuary.
