DROP: Long-time Mojave resident

MOJAVE — Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, at 11 a.m. at Stickel Mortuary in Mojave for Crystal Baughman, who passed away August 30 in Fremont.
Mrs. Baughman was a Mojave resident for 57 years, and was born August 19, 1909, in Pierpoint, Ohio.
She and her husband Frank, who preceded her in death, were active in a number of organizations in Mojave during their many years in the community. Mrs. Baughman participated in Gold Rush Days activities as a Golden Girl during its inaugural year, 1998.
Mrs. Baughman was honored by Mojave Senior Citizens as the oldest volunteer in the Mojave "Meals on Wheels" program, and was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Rebekahs.
For many years she worked as a cashier at the old Reno's and French restaurants. In her spare time Mrs. Baughman enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, puzzles, and visiting her many friends.
Crystal Baughman is survived by her son Bill Baughman and his wife June of Palmdale, daughter Doris Lee of Arkansas, granddaughter Doris Beeson of Fremont, nephew Bob Case of Cleveland, Ohio, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Rev. Grant Frye will preside at the services, and arrangements are under the direction of Stickel Mortuary.
