Harold L. Austad Dead at age 37
Harold Lloyd Austad, a resident of Mojave for the past eleven years, died at Edwards on Friday, June 16. An investigation is being conducted to determine the cause of death
Services were, conducted Tuesday, June 20 at Mojave Desert Chapel with the Rev Joel Swiggum of Hope Lutheran Church officiating.
Mr. Austad was 37. He was born in Washington on August 22, 1923.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Fern Austad, a daughter Mrs. Connie Dearing, and a son Max Ray Anderson, all of Mojave; his father, Barney Austad of Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Connie King, National City, Calif., and Mrs Siedecki, Edwards, Washington and a brother, Arnold Austad, Bellingham, Washington.
Mr. Austad served in the Second World War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
