Rodney Ashpaugh Military Rites

Military graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., August 30, at the Mojave Cemetery for Pfc. Rodney G. Ashpaugh.
The Boron soldier was killed in an automobile accident in Texas on August 24. He was stationed at Ft. Carson, Colo., and assigned to Battery 1-21 Field Artillery unit. The 18-year old native Californian was born Nov. 3, 1954, and was a 1972 graduate of Boron High.
He is survived by his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Orville C. Ashpaugh, 26820 Jessie St., Boron; two brothers, Randy and Robby, both at the home; two sisters, Pamela Colby, Boron, and Valerie Miller, San Bernardino; and his grandfather, George Fairchild, Boron.
Chaplain Harold Selke and a military honor guard from Ft.Ord, Calif. will conduct the services. Stickel Mortuaries are in
charge of arrangements.
