She graduated from Stadium high school in Tacoma in 1936 & completed her RN training at Tacoma General Hospital in 1939. Most of her career years were spent in Tacoma hospitals, Dr.'s offices and clinics.
In 1940 she married Walter Frank Kirk who was killed in action during WWII. In 1950 she married Ted Haakinson. Evelyn lived most of her life in Tacoma, Washington.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter Nancy (Roy), 2 grandchildren Brad and Terri; two great grandchildren and her sister Lorraine (Bill) McHaney of Chelan, WA.
