HAYES, Harold E. 99, formerly of Kettering, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Quaker Heights Care Community, Waynesville. He was born in North Bend, Ohio the son of Leslie and Margaret Butler Hayes. He was a self made business man who founded Gem Music and Vending Co servicing the Dayton market for over 50 years, He married Dorothy Hamilton Hayes on December 23, 1939. She preceded him in death in 1993. He is survived by his sons Dale (Terry) Hayes, Wilmington and James (Sue) Hayes, Kettering, grandchildren Jon (Julie), Brendan (Danielle), Tim (Lindy Coppinger) and their mother Judy and great grandchildren Madison, Sydney, Elise and Nate. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded by brothers Anderson, Willard and Jacob Hayes and sister Naomi Niehardt. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Dayton at 10:30 AM, The family extends a special thank you to the caregivers at Quaker Heights Care Community and Community Care Hospice.
