Macon Chronicle-Herald Macon, Missouri Friday, December 7, 1923
AGED MOTHER PASSES AWAY.
—Mrs. Margaret Beatty Ralston passed away at 6 o’clock yesterday evening at her home on north Pearl St.
—The deceased was born at Cold Bluff Washington country, Pa., September 23, 1836. When a mere girl she was converted and united with the Mino Presbyterian church in western Pennsylvania one of the oldest and most historic churches in that state. All her life she has been a consitent Christian and has ever taken an active interest in Church work and the upholding of righteousness and right living. Although she had reached an advanced age, she never lost her interest in the welfare of her friends and neighbors, and was continually doing acts of kindness for them that showed her great love for them.
—She came to Macon about ten years ago, and by her splendid Christian character, has won the confidence and love of all with whom she came in contact. None of her neighbors or friends ever suffered pain or sorrow, that they did not find in Grandma Ralston a sympathetic friend ready to share their grief and to help cheer them in their adversity.
—She leaves two children - one son A. D. Ralston, who resides north of this city and one daughter, Mrs. Laura Williams who shared her home with her.
—Funeral services will be held at their late residence on north Pearl street tomorrow morning at 10:30 conducted by Rev. Stuart M. Campbell assisted by Rev. W. L. Meyer. Interment in Oakwood cemetery.
