Hanford H. Anderson, age 81, of Good Thunder, died on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Delavan with Rev. Todd Substad officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at East Lutheran Cemetery in rural Delevan. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hanford was born on June 19, 1931 in rural Good Thunder to Ole and Francis (Hicks) Anderson. He attended the Good Thunder Country School. Hanford did some carpentry work before spending most of his life farming in the Good Thunder area. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and hunting.

Hanford is survived by his sister, Muriel Buckholtz; nieces and nephews: Larry (Francis) Buckholtz, Judy (Stan) Rempel, Margaret (Gene) Durkson, Susie Sommers, Marilyn (Herb) Peterson, Darwin (Monica) Bunde, Bill Anderson, and Tom (Jenny) Anderson; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bennard and Orville (Donna) Anderson, sister, Anna (Gordon) Bunde, and brother-in-law, Phillip Buckholtz.
