Civil War Service - He enlisted Jun 20 1861, age 42, for 3 years, and mustered as a Sergeant in Co G 7th Ohio Infantry at Cleveland or at Camp Dennison, Ohio.. He was discharged Nov 26 1862 on the surgeon's certificate of disability. He filed for an invalid's pension on Nov 29 1862 which was granted - Cert # 155230. His wife filed for a widow's pension on Jan 25 1895 which was approved - Cert # 410144.
