A. Groskreutz Passes Away At Wells
Anna Groskreutz, 82, Wells, died Wednesday, November 14, at Wells Hospital from an apparent heart failure.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 16, at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph Erickson and the Rev. Ray Arveson officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Vivian Township in Waseca County.
Mrs. Groskreutz was born May 13, 1908, in Janesville to Joseph and Anna (Janike) Fogal, attended school in Waldorf and married Louis Groskreutz December 16, 1926, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. They moved to Wells in 1959. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working on the farm, cooking, sewing and flowers. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters and husbands, Andeline and Arvil Buss of Elysian and Leona and Keith Quast of Waterville; one son and wife, Alvin and Shirley of Waldorf; four grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one infant son, two sisters, one brother and three grandchildren.
