Ethel Mae (Linton) Asberry Ethel Mae (Linton) Asberry, 85, of New Castle, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Hickory Creek Health Care Center in New Castle. She was born on June 23, 1927 in Paris, Ky., the daughter of Burton and Jewel (Stone) Linton, and they preceded her in death.

On June 23, 1945, she married Marvin Asberry in New Castle, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2011.

She was a homemaker and a LPN, she attended Grace Baptist Church, enjoyed crocheting, sewing, doing puzzles and crafts. Survivors include five daughters: Zena (Bob) Russell, Patti Young, Jewel Jasper, Jean (Jim) Triplett, Dianna (Donny) Hodge; her son, Gary (Diana) Asbury; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Marvin Asberry; her parents; her brother, Almer Linton; her sister, Viola Linton; and a son-in-law, Butch Young.

Family and friends may call from noon until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Marcum Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Marcum Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Davis and Pastor Denny Neal officiating. Burial to follow in South Mound Cemetery.
