Mr. Ralph Kimbol Johnston, 49, of Route 1, Johnston Road, Fairmount, died Wednesday morning (May 30, 1984) at his residence.
Mr. Johnston was bornin Gordon County on April 11, 1935, a son of Mrs. Janice Hendrix Johnston and the late N. E. Johnston. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church near Sonoraville, and the Sonora Lodge #221, F and AM of Sonoraville.
Before ill health forced his retirement, he was employed by Horizon Industries of Calhoun in the maintenance department.
Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by a son, Randy Johnston.
Survivors include his widow, the former Edna Pendley of Route 1, Fairmount; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debbi Johnston, and granddaughter, Brittany Johnston, all of Cedartown; mother, Mrs. N. E. Johnston of Route 1, Fairmount; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Brwon of Atlanta and Mrs. Pat Nix of Calhoun; brother, Gene Johnston of Calhoun; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was Friday at 2 p.m. from the Bethlehem Baptist Church near Sonoraville with Revs. Hollis Hammond and Don Oliver conducting the service. Pallbearers included, Robert King, Red Goodnight, Steve Aycock, Naith Jordon, Kenneth Chapman, Rev. Bob Johnston, Kenny Chapman and Rayford Parker.
Interment was in the family lot of Bethlehem Cemetery.
