The funeral of William Costello was held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning from St. Joseph's Church. Solemn Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Very Rev. Dean McClancy, Father Murphy of Goshen acting as deacon, and Father Donnelly of Port Jervis as sub-deacon.
The funeral was largely attended and there was an abundance of floral tributes. Division No. 1, A. O. H., attended in a body, as did also the boilermakers of the O. & W. shops. There was also a delegation from the O. & W. Relief and Benefit Association.
The pallbearers were William Pohlman, D. B. Sweeney, M. J. Doran, T. M. Gillen, Joseph Sweeney and J. H. Lawder, all members of the A. O. H.
Burial was in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
