George W. Dahlquist, 77, of Yuma, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at his home. He was born August 29, 1931 in Fort Monroe, Virginia, to George and Helga Whalen Dahlquist.

George retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He then went to work for Mountlake Terrace, Washington as a Police Officer, retiring for the second time in the mid 1980's.

George is survived by his wife, Judith Dahlquist at the family home; son, Dan Dahlquist of Seattle Washington; daughter, Kathy McAllister of Seattle; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Catholic Mass will be at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11545 E. 40th Street, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 9 a.m. with Father John Friel as Celebrant. Mr. Dahlquist was cremated at Sunset Vista Crematory.
