Mrs. Ruby Mae Barnes Carlton, age 81, of East Henderson Drive, Wilkesboro, widow of Raymond Carlton died Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 19, at Thankful Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rowe, the Rev. Roosevelt Carlton, and the Rev. Fred Carlton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Carlton was born in Wilkes County, May 17, 1924, to Mark and Viola Hayes Barnes. She was a member of Thankful Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carlton is survived by two daughters, Betty Allen of North Wilkesboro, Mary Jo Carlton of Wilkesboro; one son, Claude Carlton of Wilkesboro; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
