DEATH OF CAPT. W. C. HILLHOUSE: Capt. William C. Hillhouse, Sr., a native of South Carolina and for many years a prominent business man of Greenville, S. C.
died at the home of his son in Waynesboro Thursday night, in the 80th year of his age, after an illness of several weeks, surrounded by all his children. He was a Captain in the Confederate service and followed the fortune of the South in that terrible conflict. Mr. Hillhouse was a quiet christian gentleman who was greatly esteemed by all who knew him best, and his death is regretted by many
friends in Georgia and South Carolina. His remains were carried to Greenville for interment. He was the father of Mrs. A. W. Anderson of Augusta, Mrs. George E. banks of Winchester, Tenn., Miss Mary Hillhouse and Mr. W. C. Hillhouse, of Waynesboro.
