Edward was the son of Rufus & Helen Lenora Benadom Abbott and was one of seven children all born in Pawnee, Nebraska.

Ed lived in the Hanford, CA area until about 1910 when he and his family moved to San Francisco and he contined there until his passing.

FORMER HANFORD MAN DIES IN SAN FRANCISCO
Edward Abbott, a former resident of Hanford, passed away at San Francisco last Saturday evening. He was a pioneer resident of Hanford, coming here from Nebraska when a small boy. His father, Rufus Abbott, was a prominent attorney of the early days and was the first judge in Hanford.
Mr. Abbott has many friends here where he made his home until about ten years ago when he moved to San Francisco. He is survived by two daughters and a brother, Wm. Abbott, who resides in San Francisco; a nephew, Oscar Abbott, and a niece, Mrs. Burl Baker, who resides in Hanford.
The funeral was held in San Francisco at 10 o'clock Tuesday.
