Michael J. Bennett, a highly esteemed citizen of Mount City, died at his home in that city, from heart disease on Friday night last, March 7th, at the age of 70 years. He was one of the early settlers of our county and retired from farm life many years ago. Mr. Bennett was a native of Virginia and is survived by a wife and four children: Will Bennett, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. D. W. Criswell, Savannah, Mo.; Mrs. Ben Null and Miss Clara Bennett, Mound City.
