|Birth: ||Oct. 12, 1909|
|Death: ||Sep. 28, 1981|
My Uncle Clarence was the son of Walter Warner and Josephine Alice Douglass. His mother died when he was three years old. He also had a younger sister and brother who died in childhood. All this occurred within a year's time. His father later married Ila Marie Coutchie and she helped rear him and his older brother Howard. They had four more children together: Marcella, Walter, Dorothy, and Duane.
Clarence married Marion Louise Cecila Gorman on April 30, 1934 in Flint, Michigan. He used to joke that they could never divorce because it took them three times to get married--Justice of the peace, minister, and finally in the Catholic Church.
Their first child, Rita, died shortly after birth. They had four more children: Patsy, Ila, Ann, & Bob.
Uncle Clarence was an inspector and gauge setter at Buick. He also worked as a cab driver and in a lumber yard for a short time during a lay-off from Buick.
