The members and staff of Leahey and Johnson attorneys at law mourn the passing and honor the memory of a heroic giant in the law and life of New York City. He is survived by his cherished wife and dearest friend of 54 years, Veronica and his loving children and grandchildren. In his 63 years at the Bar he spoke fearlesly and successfully for those without a voice, known as the best trial lawyer in America, he served as a courageous New York City police officer, was a wounded veteran of Iwo Jima, a crusader for the waterfront workers from which he came and a maverick civic reformer. His courage and kindness speakes today through the Johnson Foundation. Reposing at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home 1076 Madison Avenue, New York City. Visitation, Thursday 2-5 pm and 7-9pm, Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10am to be held at St Patricks Cathedral. Interment at Resurection Cemetery, Statten Island.
